In this talk, I will discuss a brief history of the earlier study of superconductivity since its first discovery with Hg in 1911. And then I will tell you why and how most of the recently studied superconducting materials are discovered in the so-called “strongly correlated electron systems”. Finally, it will be discussed what are the fundamental questions that we are seeking for in the study of the exotic superconductivity.

본 강연에서는, 1911년 수은의 초전도 현상에서 시작된 초기 초전도 연구의 간략한 역사 를 소개한 후, 왜 또는 어떻게 최근에 연구되고 있는 대부분의 초전도 물질은 소위 “강상관계 전 자계” 에서만 발견되는 지를 설명합니다. 그리고, 마지막으로 이러한 특이한 초전도 물질의 연구 를 통하여 우리가 알고자 하는 궁극적인 질문들이 무엇인지 논의하겠습니다.
