대형 강입자 가속기인 LHC의 CMS 실험을 이용하여 물질의 근원을 탐색한다. 특히 질량의 근원을 탐색하기 위하여 새로운 종류의 힉스입자인 하전힉스 입자와, 마요라나 중성미자 입자를 탐색한다. CMS 실험에서 탐색을 효과적으로 수행하기 위하여 GEM 뮤온 검출기를 개발을 위한 연구를 수행한다.
