우리 연구실은 통계물리 이론을 기반으로 복잡계에서 일어나는 다양한 상전이 현상과 동역학적 성질을 연구하고있다. 예를 들어 폭발적 여과 전이및 하이브리드 여과 상전이를 들 수 있으며 이에 대한 메커니즘을 연구하고 있다. 여과 전이 연구는 정보의 전파, 질병의 전염등에 응용될 수 있다. 또한 동기화 현상에 대한 연구를 수행하고 있으며 이는 인간의 의식 회복 과정에 대한 모형 연구가 될 수 있을 것으로 생각하고 있다.
