String theory is the quantum theory of fundamental interactions
including gravity. After explaining how the string theory can naturally
incorporate the quantum gravity, important progresses on string theory
will be explained. Topics to deal with are electromagnetic duality of
Maxwell eqautions, strong coupling dynamics of string theories,
