Matter under Extreme conditions

Symmetry has been a guiding principle in the development of physics.
Symmetries of microscopic theory often break down at low energy, which
results in new degrees of freedom for low energy physics, together with new
emergent phenomena like superfluidity or superconductivity. In this talk, I
will discuss how microscopic symmetries are broken in matter under extreme
conditions. Especially, how matter behaves at extreme density, much higher
than the normal nuclear density. Finally, I will talk about a
high-temperature superfluid in cold atoms.
