고에너지 물리학은 눈으로 볼 수 없는 미시세계에서, 입자의 신호와 흔적을 통해 자연을 이루는 기본 입자들의 세계를 이해하고자 하는 학문이다. 우리는 이 길 위에서 여러 국제 실험에 참여하고, 국내에 연구 기반을 구축하며 한국 고에너지 실험 물리학의 토대를 다지는 데 힘써왔다. 이 강연에서는 그 여정을 되돌아보고, 그 속에서 얻은 과학적 통찰과 경험을 나누고자 한다.

High-energy physics is a discipline that seeks to understand the world of fundamental particles—the building blocks of nature—through the signals and traces left by particles in a realm invisible to the naked eye. On this path, we have taken part in various international experiments and established research infrastructure in Korea, helping to lay the foundation for experimental high-energy physics in the country. In this lecture, I look back on that journey and share the scientific insights and experiences gained along the way.
