Research Interests

Using various cooling techniques such as laser cooling and evaporation cooling, we can cool atomic gases down to extremely low temperatures in the nano-Kelvin regime. We experimentally study such ultracold atomic gases to investigate collective quantum phenomena such as Bose-Einstein condensation and superfluidity. Our goal is to exploit and develop various quantum gas systems to search for new states of matter.
